UNSW Summer School on Ferroelectrics 2018
Registration is now closed.
The second Summer School on Ferroelectrics (UNSW-SSF ‘18) will be held at the University of New South Wales, Sydney from 10th of December until 14th of December 2018.
The UNSW-SSF ‘18 aims at attracting PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, young scientists and senior researchers working in the field of ferroelectrics for five days in the vibrant city of Sydney, to build up future Asia-Pacific ferroelectrics community. The school will focus on fundamental science, as well as cutting edge and emerging applications. The School will cover basic concepts of ferroelectricity in the beginning, intended for researchers/students who are new to the field, and gradually move towards advanced concepts. Please refer to Program for more details.
Fundamental notions of ferroelectricity, piezoelectricity, and multiferroics will be covered, followed by more specific topics such as thin films, interfaces, domain walls and key advanced characterisation and computational techniques. To assist participant learning, homeworks and tutorials will be emphasised upon.
